The Chechen Republic has everything you need for hiking, camping, horseback riding and many other active types of holidays. Cultural and educational tourism is also well developed — travellers can get acquainted with the centuries-long history and unshakable traditions that are so carefully preserved by the Chechen people.
Military tourism is a unique offer of the Chechen Republic. On the basis of the Russian Special Forces University in the city of Gudermes, tourists can take a training course for a young soldier, shoot military weapons (including a sniper rifle), ride locally developed combat buggies and make a parachute jump.
Every year the region has a lot of events, including the Honk Fest international gastronomic wild garlic festival, the Shashlyk-Mashlyk festival and many others.
