About region

The Kamchatka region receives tourists both in summer and in winter. The number of possibilities for holidays is almost infinite. Hiking, jeep tours, kayaking, surfing, rafting and fishing are available in summer, heli skiing, dog sled riding and snowmobile tours — in winter. During any season you can relax in the hot thermal springs in the open air, admire astonishing landscapes of Kamchatka from a bird’s eye view while paragliding, and try delicious local cuisine which is world renowned for its seafood and wild herbs: salmon, red caviar, scallops, Kamchatka crab, ferns and wild berries.

The territory of the Kamchatka region is rich in unique natural attractions, and many of them are located in the immediate vicinity of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The journey to these places takes not more than a day without using planes, helicopters and off-highway vehicles. For instance, guests of Kamchatka can visit the favorite vacation spot of the peninsula citizens — the Khalaktyrsky beach with its black volcanic sand, while staying at one of the glampings and enjoying the beauty of the Pacific waves.

Throughout the year, there are a lot of festivals and holidays here — for example, the Volcano Day, the Beringia dog sled race or the Alhalalalai festival of the Itelmen people.

The unique beauty of the Kamchatka region is available for everyone who is ready to find themselves lost in the harmony of nature: fountains of geysers, fire-breathing volcanoes, clean lakes full of fish, and fast mountain rivers, chains of mountains and ridges, eternal glaciers. Welcome to the wonderful Kamchatka!
